Make a weekend of it

Paris guide for concert-goers

Turn your concert night into a Parisian trip: where to stay, where to eat and what to do in May.

Where to stay

Three smart bases

La Défense

Walk to the arena and back. Business hotels here are often cheaper on Fridays and Saturdays, when the offices are empty.

Champs-Élysées & Étoile

Classic Paris on Metro line 1 and RER A, a direct ride to La Défense. Perfect for combining the concert with sightseeing.

Le Marais & Châtelet

Lively streets, restaurants and bars, with direct RER A and Metro 1 connections. Ideal if you want nightlife after the show.

Paris in May

May is one of the most beautiful months in Paris: long evenings, café terraces, and gardens in bloom. Temperatures are mild, but evenings can still be cool, so bring a light jacket for the walk back from the arena.

A perfect concert day

  • Morning: stroll along the Seine or visit a museum.
  • Lunch: a long Parisian lunch on a terrace.
  • Afternoon: rest at your hotel and get ready.
  • Early evening: head to La Défense early and enjoy the view from the Grande Arche esplanade.
  • Night: the concert, then a late supper in central Paris.
